Principal's Message

The School's Principal

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Lennon High School. Since its founding by Archdeacon Lennon in 1969, Lennon High has been dedicated to delivering high-quality technical and vocational education and training that prepare learners to live successfully, work innovatively and lead effectively.

As an institution, we are guided by our motto: “today’s hard work, tomorrow’s success.”

We are proud that we have evolved as a high school. We now operate from grades 7 through to 13. A dream of our founder brought to light by the hard-working and dedicated staff of this noble institution.

Lennon High is a great place to send your child/ward for academic training as our teachers are committed to a high-quality learning experience and are focused on the individual need of each child. Our school community strives to ensure that each student is disciplined, respectful, full of integrity, has a vision, and strives for excellence. As such we are guided by our core value DRIVE.

D- discipline

R- respect

I – integrity

V – vision

E- excellence

As an institution, we aim to help all students achieve their dreams and find success in pursuing life goals. In an effort to respond to emerging needs and national strategic priorities, we seek to maintain relevance within the local landscape thereby positioning ourselves as a centre of excellence.

We pride ourselves on the opportunities that we have available to help each and every student succeed.  These opportunities are included in our academic programming, which ensures each student is challenged appropriately while building a foundation of knowledge and skills.

These vocation subject offerings cater to the different needs of our students and vary from Cosmetology, Agriculture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Technology & Welding to Food & Nutrition, Clothing, Textile & Fashion and Home Management. As a result, our school is recognized as one of the schools that add value to the lives of our students.

In addition, we believe that through extracurricular activities, our students can gain the skills that they need to allow them to be successful in their lives after high school. Some of these programmes are: football (boys & girls), track & field, netball, cadet, Girl’s Guide, ISCF, Key Club, 4H, Drama, Red Cross, Music and Dance.

As stakeholders, you are an integral part of our esteemed institution. We want you to share in the vision and work with us in guiding, moulding and inspiring our children to achieve their fullest potential. Your child’s holistic development is our mission.

Lennon High; Archdeacon’s dream, your child’s master key to guided success.
